I haven't had to do mine yet, but if the uppers need replacing, it stands to reason that the lowers will be right behind them in terms of wear. To be proactive and per-emptive on the maintenance, replacing both upper and lower at the same time may be the better choice. Get it all done at once, then "No worries, Mate!"
