I'm getting ready to change the bottoms on one of mine. I changed the tops about a year ago. It helped but I still have some tire chewing. You'll need a air hammer to get the top ones out. The are compressed in but the bolt but it won't come out without a air hammer or by using a puller of some kind. I didn't need to do anything but change them. They should be sealed in a new boot.
