At my WV place (and there are now a few people on this list that have actually been there) I tend to drive with ALL my lights on (high beams, fog lamps, main headlights). This is to be able to see, anything and everything (rocks, deer, branches, owls.)

It's a one lane driveway and I don't travel it especially fast (some might differ on that)

In Virginia, the safety inspectors are supposed to check and verify that foglights turn off when the high beams are on. I was in a discussion today with one of them because I have several vehicles with factory fogs that do NOT behave that way (TriStar, Corrado and Lotus Esprit). They were legal when the were built, but now (according to Virginia's State Police) they aren't legal.

Since I'm courteous with my headlights/foglights, I doubt this will be much of an issue for me, but this is also a sign that some jurisdictions have gotten fed up with the "too many lights" syndrome that some folks are encountering.
