Hi, I just rented an old French/Swiss movie called "RED".

It came out in 1994 and take place around Geneva Switzerland. It is kind of slow and hard to get to the plot, (like most french movies) but one of the characters listens to all the cell phone conversations (which is illegal) to spy and listen in on all of his neighboors. He decides to turn himself. Coming up the street is this familiar van.

You guessed it the Swiss officials are driving up in a 84ish Vanagon with round headlights. It has a slew of arials and radar detection equipment on the roof. The van is shot for about 2 minutes (46 minutes into the movie) coming up the road and stopping at the spy's house. When the van stops there is a sliding door on the left hand side and the familiar squeek of the brakes. The engine sounds like a diesel. It is light brown in color rather than bright yellow from the Bunderpost.

SO this makes it a Great movie!

Cheers, Joel
