<snip> Hey Tom - How do you like travelling with three kids (and the wife :) in a Westy.

My wife and I have a 91 Carat we bought last year that we love and I have been salivating over the idea of getting a Westy but was concerned about a lack of space (especially seating for travelling) with the kids.

My kids are 7,6 and 3 (so in VA that's a seatbelt, a booster, and a car seat by law)

Any others travelling with a brood...your comments are welcome. Thanx Joe <snip>

Joe:

It's all relative.

Typically when we travel there are 3 adults (me, my wife, and visitor/nanny), 2 kids (4-1/2 year old in booster and 2-1/2 year old in a car seat), and 2 dogs (85 lb each).

For last year's trips we packed everyone and all of our camping and hiking gear into a Subaru Forester.  A very tight squeeze!!

Now I have an 87 Westy with the rear facing jump seat.  Positively luxurious compared to the Forester and way faster (when setting up camp that is).
