The last event of Syncro de Mayo East was only attended by 4 Vanagons (the diehars and the folks that didn't have to leave early.)

We traveled FR85 in the GW Forest on the Jeep trail whose directions I got from the Internet. Met a couple of old Jeep folks when we got to the start of the real trail. They were highly surprised and impressed with our vehicles.

Then we started on the trail. Very rocky (I used low gear almost exclusively on the trail.) However, there were along two places which were at all of difficulty. One going down (but it looked more difficult than it was.) One going up (which did have a bypass which the last two vehicles used...Brady and I however went up the more challenging section.)

Travel time was about 3 hours 30 minutes to 4 hours. Brady and Derek finally felt they had done some real 4 wheelin' on the weekend. No winching was necessary. And almost all other Syncros should be able to travel that trail next year. :)
