I am in the strange position of needing to buy some NOS Antennas of the
style that originally came on the van.


The reason is that I had my antenna professionally modified to accept a
high power beeper signal in the CB band in a particular frequency at
basically zero SWR. The antenna functions so that if somebody breaks into
my van, even if I am miles away, I can be notified and run out and I guess
fight them.


I broke the antenna off eventually and then when I swapped in a new antenna
from VW with the same part number, the SWR matching was off drastically.


I then found a bent old NOS antenna and the SWR in that one is good so I am
using that now.


The part number of the antenna I can use and the antenna I cannot use are
both the same -- 251 035 503A -- so I cannot distinguish the antenna I need
by part number.


Accordingly, I took a picture of both antenna types here:

you can see the kind that I need. If you have one of the old kind indicated
in that picture that is in good condition that I could buy from you it
would help me out because of this SWR issue. You price it. I could even buy
and send to you a new 251 035 503A from VW if you preferred. The tip of the
antenna I need is black plastic as you can see in the picture.


The SWR with the new style antenna is 3.5 to 1 and the SWR of the old one
is 0.2 as far as I can tell.
