The best results seem to be from converted diesels, rather than converted wbxs. Just a comment.

Let the flames begin!

I (for one) like the I4 in my Jetta, liked the one in the Golf before it, and LOVE the one in my friend's 82 Vanagon. The Golf engine had 174,000 and ran great (ableit some lifter clatter) when I had to let it go and my '99 Jetta has 117, 000 w/ just regular maintenace. Those are far more miles than I'd ever expect out of my WBX.
