Just curious, what is so bad about that combination? I've done that on many 2WD Vanagons and most customers like it. I have seen dome KYB's fail over the years but they sure beat the American alternatives and the price is reasonable. My local Flaps has always made good on warranty replacements.

BTW, I run the KYB Gas Adjusts on the rear of my Syncro Camper. Looking ugly with rust but I think they have close to 190K on them.

I'm going to put new shocks on my 82 Diesel Westy before I drive to Ca from NY in august, I'm thinking about Bilsteins. my van has a horrible combo of KYB GR-2's in the front and Gas-a-Justs in the back. Why did someone ever do this combo is besides me.
