Sounds like the glow/spark plug is bad , or dirty.
Or the coil could have failed-look also for the obvious-loose , or broken
wires, etc.

you can test for spark after first disconnecting a fuel pump wire , making
sure that there is no gas present in the area.

Remove it with a 22 mm wrench, and check for continuity of the center
electrode with a ohm meter.

If you have a build up of fuel in the heater, disconnect the fuel pump lead
and let the heater burn out the residue before allowing the pump to run.- or
else leave the plug out for a while to let the excess evaporate.

If you find that the glow /spark plug is bad, I have good used for sale
reasonably priced, and other BA-6 parts

Hi All,

I checked the archives, but little info was there, so...

I very much want the BA6 to work in SuperVan. Here it what it does:
turn it on and the fuel pump and circulation fan run, but it does not
light. It will do this forever. When I shut it off after a few minutes,
fuel is dripping out the circulation fan's weep hole.

Any ideas? I have a good VW Dealer nearby - should I take it to them (a
guy there says he has experience with the BA6) so I do not kill myself
:-)?
