Is it really necessary to run 4 wires with the corresponding 4 relays? Is this just to prevent losses by halving the current through any one wire, or for redundancy, or something else my electrically feeble mind can't follow...

My relay job just used 2 wires and two SPDT relays to control both high and low. I'm happy with the results, just wondering why the guru suggested what he did...

Thanks, -Damon
