Subject: Regarding Input on Buying 2.1L Advice...
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Thanks to all who have given advice on the 2.1L I've been considering. Some think $1500 for the engine (with 15k on it) is fair...many think it is a high price.

The Latest: he will remove it from the wrecked Vanagon and install it in mine for $1650 total (he is a mechanic with lots of VW experience.)

Factors I'm considering are: - I get to keep my core - His engine comes with alternator, distrib, etc ...and I will also have my original ones as spares. - No shipping charges (as with a new rebuilt engine)

Thoughts???

Thanks! Kevin
