Subject: REQ: 91 Carat Wiring Harness (Door)
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Ok so my window problems have not gone away (just a lack of weekends to work on it)

The problem- window went down but not up

the fix(es) new switch - no change new regulator & motor - no change cut and reversed wires into switch at listmembers suggestion (reversed problem up /no down)

AH-HA...the problem defined... After the suggestions of listmembers (BIG THANKS) I think I have tracked it down to a bad ground somewhere. The key is somewhere, I have not seen any obvious brakes after hauling the boot off that the wire harness passes through between the van body and the door.

***The wife has informed me however that she no longer desires to splice wires while we are cruising around town whenever she want to use the window***

Proposed solution.... I am looking for a complete wireharness replacement for the section of the Van from the connectors behind the glove box all the way through the door. (The electric locks and mirror work so perhaps a complete replacement is overkill, but the perfectly fine speaker does not work either.)

Any suggestions on sources for the harness or other proposed solutions are greatly appreciated. Not sure I want to try to recreate this entire harness one wire at a time :(

Thanx Joe
