A westy just came up for sale near my sister's house (I saw it online). She looked at it for me and gave me some details: broken sliding door handle, broken antenna, poor front seats, repaint in original brown color. The rest of the interior looks new. A couple tears in the poptop. And no visible rust. No AC. 119,000 miles.

The dealer took it in trade, wants only $3k for it, and when he realized she wasn't going to buy it talked about how it wasn't worth more than 3k.

So what's the going rate on these in fair condition? We're probably going to go visit her this weekend and take a look at the van. If we don't buy it I'll offer it to the list.

john
