No Wet Westy here, but.....I lived in Portland, OR for 5 years in the late 60's, early 70's and my favorite drives and camping were almost all along 101, along the coast. The NW Pacific coastline is so different from anything I had seen, having been from So. Cal., that I never got enough of it. Good time of year to hope for milder weather, too. Stop in Tillamook and get some cheese. Can't advise anything about specific camp sites, been too long, but I'm pretty sure you'll find too many to choose from. Wishing you an uneventful, happy trip.
