The guys full of bull- he bought the car at a salvage auction for no more
than$ 5, 000. Sure - he wants to make a profit. My guess is that he paid 3
for the car , it was a rollover and he can double his money or so he thinks
just on the engine.

Sure the dealer charges that much for the engine NEW. Probably costs
millions to build a car from parts bought at the dealer.The dealer is always
the wrong cost comparison. He uses it for maximum shock effect, a marketing
ploy.

How about 2,500 -3,500-what a salvage yard would charge tops? Oh but he
heard you can get so rich on Ebay...

The other problem is fitting this in your Vanagon. And Vanagons are not
designed to go fast-they are a wall on wheels. Just go buy the car and a
good radar detector and get it out of your system.

Then you can settle back in your Vanagon and be glad it won't get you any
tickets like the ones you just got in your Audi...
