Waaay, ditto. My TIICO install was initially done without this snorkel in the left "D" pillar and resulted in really big intake resonance in the cabin under acceleration at 3-4K. It is now completely gone due to this addition. I imagine the wasserboxer would also sound this way without the snorkel on the opposite side, but I don't know. Bob Stevens

snip Incidentally, the air intake snorkel makes a *huge* difference in noise level on the diesels. Make sure yours is assembled. Without the snorkel the intake noise on mine dominated the engine sound so much that fixing two major exhaust leaks made no noticable difference.
