Subject: Thanks for help with Bumper Paint
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

I would like to thank the many list members who responded to my request for information regarding the correct paint for the fiberglass bumper on my ' 91 Carat. Several of you made reference to the same site listing paint codes for Vanagons. Unfortunately most of that information was for the body colors, mine is white, L90D, which I knew from looking at the sticker under the dash and from the same sticker in my owner's manual. I also learned that the bumper is grey, so I looked and it really is, except for a satin black streak across the middle. What I learned that was very useful was from a site reference from Joel Walker ( the guy knows all there is to know about Vanagons ! ) is that there are five different shades of grey; graphite, cloud grey metallic, graphite with a different code, pewter metallic and Wolfsburg edition cloud grey metallic, all in addition to ivory. I guess I will need to go to a paint mixer store to try to get some paint that will match the other fiberglass panels that go around the van. Again thanks for your responses.
