Subject: Extremely tight Spark Plug

I tried to change my spark plugs today. Three went ok but one of them was so tight that I did not take the chance on forcing it too much. A service record from four years ago (previous owner) reads:

"had to retap threads for #3 spark plug (plug was very tight)".

I basically reversed the "loosening" that I had tried, and left it alone. I guess I'm headed to a real mechanic :)

Tom

Ps is #3 spark plug the forward one on the driver's side ??
