Hi John

My Westy is a 87. Maybe it is different. The cover is made of wood and cover all the heater assembly (there are screw on each side and on the top). I also noticed a small coolant leak on the lower pipe. I don't know where the leak is coming from (the pipe or the heater). You where taking about an O-ring. Maybe this is my problem also.
