My '91 Carat has light grey upholstery and carpets with some stains on it from previous lives. I have used the upholstery cleaners you can get in auto parts stores with plastic scrubbers etc., and some of the spot removers and the result is better but there are still some stubborn stains. Short of taking the upholstery out and using the "purple" cleaners, hose etc. to try and deal with this, what is the groups' collective wisdom ?

cheers, Steve Cotsford Columbia SC
