How about drilling and tapping the unused end of the plastic coolant distribution tower in front of the firewall (above the starter) There is a natural place on the driver's side of this piece. Or how about tapping the coolant drain hole on the passenger side of the engine - then you could get a coolant reading in the water jacket that surrounds the cylinders? Two places I have thought of - don't know if they are wise choices or not. I want to install a VDO Coolant gauge and while the engine is being replaced I figured it was a good time. I posted this question awhile back and there was alot of discussion/dissent. Anyone found a really good place to mount the sending unit??? __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? SBC Yahoo! DSL - Now only $29.95 per month! http://sbc.yahoo.com > |
