Don't take the crank pulley off. If your allen wrench is too long, grind it down. follow the pipe to the other side of the pulley to the rubber hose. remove the hose so that you can get that pipe free to remove the pump. I just did my 2nd pump and I did find it easier the 2nd time around. I also attacked the big pipe hexs with a long extension and worked from underneath looking through the exhaust system.
