You don't need to do anything with the white plastic shroud... just twist the little bulb 90 degrees and it'll come right out. (sorry for the info repeat) Check the foil it pinches against, as this area can get corroded and nasty - sometimes just twisting it onto a "clean" area makes things work (and likewise, try swapping speedo and tach bulbs to help pinpoint your problem). These bulbs can (and do) fail intermittantly, btw. -damon
