First of all, this is my first post in, oh 3 months. Did you miss me? Don't answer that out loud. I missed you. Secondly, I recently replaced a knocking outer CV joint and changed my oil. On the way back from the shop where I performed the repairs I noticed that the vibration I had in 3rd gear, the one that's been there for the 3 years since I bought my Westy, is gone, and the van is FASTER. During the entire return trip, some 45 miles on the interstate, I held back to 70 mph but the van did not slow down up the hills the way it used to. Can an old, dry CV joint rob that much power?
