Here is a Syncro list post from nearly 2 years ago from VW dealer member Rennie.

Mon, 29 Oct 2001 18:31:27 -0800 From: Rennie Wible <VolksDragon@earthlink.net> To: "Syncro@yahoogroups.com" <Syncro@yahoogroups.com>

Just wanted to drop a note that 2.1 rebuilt engines from VW are now obsolete.

VW has just made the last run of rebuilds, all of them being shipped to the Los Angeles Parts Depot. I ordered 2 last week, there are 27 remaining and then there will be no more.

This is your last chance if you want a factory VW 2.1 longblock. The list price is $2875, exchange (why exchange I don't know). Listee price is $2450.00 exchange.

Get them while they're here!
