Subject: Re: can syncro front springs work in a 2wd??

No that is incorrect but the subject is not that simple anyway. While 2wd springs originally came in different lengths and stiffness' depending on year and options, all of the Syncro springs are the same AFAIK. Most Syncro front springs are about 1 1/2" shorter and rears are about 1 1/2" longer than 2wd springs. I refer to standard springs in reasonable shape from the similar years. I have multiple sets of both kinds. I have measured dozens of springs, looking for the tallest and stiffest I could find before deciding to have custom sets of both types made. I did not measure or care about the factory lowered springs that some 86+ models came with as I wanted taller not lower. Yes, early Westys tend to have badly flattened springs so who knows if some may be shorter than Syncro springs that have not been flattened.
