Loren - The mind set of us folk in the US of A, is one that is almost impossible to overcome. Without fossil fuel used in one way or another, there is no interest in any alternative. I've been beating the drum for solar energy for over 50 years to no avail.. At least we now have them looking at fuel cells. But they still cling to the notion that there has to be Hydrogen and Oxygen generated by the use of fossil fuel. If we take a step back and think in terms of alternates, the best we come up with is Solar Power. This opens a myriad of possibilities of application. If .04 of the energy that strikes Planet Earth in one day were to be converted to usable energy, ie fuel cell and electricity, it would be enough to supply free energy to the world for over 30 days. Solar collection cells produce DC current that doesn't travel well - this can be used to convert water into it's components at the collection site and these in turn can be shipped anywhere there is need - whether it's automotive or industrial - thereby consumption at the site of need is accomplished. IMHO we must divorce ourselves from this limited mind set. Comments anyone??? Bud Yandell Champion Lurker - I usually respond via Pmail...
