Subject: Sliding Door: Lock Knob (inside)
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

My lock knob, for the sliding door, from the inside, the little black thing that slides along a curved opening in the sheet metal, just kind of flops in the middle. When I go to open the door from the outside, it'll have locked itself. So then I have to put the key in, either the front door (I have electric) where I lock then unlock and then I can open my sliding door; or else I turn the key at the sliding door, and then open the sliding door.

Well this is a real pain. I like the way it used to be, a real crisp snappy feeling. And the problem with taking out the lock just to look around, is that the metal is kind of soft, and the holes for the screwdriver get chewed up easily... already chewed one up, what do I do now. Has anyone had this problem... ? thanks for responders.

If you p mail me, you can try quasimotto@hotmail.com, cause I don't always see things at this email site address, which gets clogged with vanagon traffic
