Hi all Today I have removed my fridge from the van for the first time (without any problem) . My problem are: I cannot light it on propane anymore and the fridge is not cold enough on any mode. Here is what I have checked so far. The cooling fan at the back of the fridge is working fine on 12 Vdc. The thermoswitch is working when I blow hot air with an hair dryer. SO I supect a blockage in the cooling unit. However I am not sure. After one hour running on 120Vac, I have touched the piping beside the fridge. The pipes at the top of the Boiler and at the bottom of the Boiler were very hot (cannot keep my hand). On the Absorber area (the fins at the bottom), I can keep my hand without any problem on the first bend between the two set of fins. According to Dometic Diagnostic Service Manual, the boiler area and the absorber area should be at the same temperature when opearing normaly. If this is a blockage, is there any trick to fix that. Will work on the propane later. Thank you for your comments. Germain |
