At 07:15 PM 6/26/03 -0700, Pensioner drawled: >heck even in Fresburg. I-5 trav'lers and I-15 trav'lers git tahrd of >good-ol-boy >radio. Bring back KFAT ! NPR/BBC/KPIG ... But that's one of the best things about travelling to distant places... Picking up the local radio stations and experiencing that aspect of the place that you've chosen to vanagonate through. I have actually gone a little out of my way on some trips to take certain routes and catch a sample of local radio stations that I had remembered from previous trips. When going to Ohio, I always drop south of the great lakes at Buffalo to catch Froggie FM on the Newer York and Pencilvanity I-90, just because it amused my girlfriend and I on some trip many years ago. Also it's amusing to pick up local advertising from region to region. But any way, I'm rambling and have no point. Happy friday, folks. |
