I figured I'd include a quick trip report. And first let me say my Westfalia is a gasoline 1.9L engine--not a diesel. I just finished a 2500 mile trouble free trip from Georgia to LA. I got about 30 MPG with the A/C on the whole way and was able to cruise at about 75 MPH where the law allowed--sometimes creeping up to 80+ with power to spare. Even met a nice NM police officer for doing 73 in a 65. For this I got a warning. And all this without putting one mile on my bus 'cause we drove in a friend's honda crv. While I have to say cruising at highway speeds was a luxuryI sure did miss the sink and the bed, especially the night all the hotels in Amarillo were full for the Jehovah Witness convention. The hotel we ended up finding about 3 hours past Amerillo wasn't exactly AAA approved--in fact I'm pretty sure AA wouldn't have approved. Here in California, and around the world, it's friday.
