My point was that I would be very interested in a Vanagon-dimensioned vehicle that I could convert from people-hauling, to cargo-hauling, to camping, simply by utilizing a well-executed design principle of reconfigurability.

Many of us have learned to reconfigure our Vanagons as necessary, and yes of course the quirks and weaknesses of the fundamental platform remain (certainly not outstanding). But today's curvy, plush jelly-bean shaped minivans, or worse, the angry-toaster fashioned SUV's, certainly don't fit the bill.

I believe a T5-based vehicle that embraced the Element design intent *could* be outstanding. I think I'll be waiting for a while.

If the Element actually had similar dimensions and layout as or Vanagons, it might be potentially outstanding. ---------------- Clip ----------------------- Please elaborate on what you might possibly find potentially outstanding about a seven person hauler Vanagon. I know about the features of the Westy, but I'm dead serious curious about anything outstanding about the standard Vanagon.
