I doubt you would find that 2000 BTU's would cool a Vanagon Camper in some of the southern states without adding some type of insulation to the pop-top canvas. My 5000 BTU unit makes the interior sleepable by pulling a lot of humidity out of the air, but doesn't make the interior 'cold' by any stretch of the imagination.
