I wave to other bus and vanagon drivers and am amazed when I occasionally get no response. I wonder if those drivers just don't realize what they're driving.

as a matter of fact, i haven't seen ANYbody in other vehicles wave at each other in passing ... vw buses are about the only ones that do. the miata folks claim they do, but i've never seen them or the bmw folks do it around here.

now, back in the old days, when Men were Men, and Wimmen weren't so skinny, the british sports car folks and even the porsche crowd would wave. the brit car folks got rather excited upon seeing another brit car, whereas the porsche crowd rather condescendingly acknowledged each other's prescence. ;)

and yet, i have had a few vanagons fail to return the wave ... but it's been less than half a dozen or so in 20-odd years (and some of those years were REALLY odd!!!) ;)
