Oil is to hot at 250F, 200 to 220F would be perfect.
-Check thermostat, flat (controled by that thermostat)
-Do you have all the cooling tins in place
-is the isolation foam in place

My experience is that if your running hot at the core (oil) your running way
to hot at the heads! how is the heads temp?

If you only hot at the core and every cooling elements are in place, i would
suspect a core (Crank, cam) problem or/and an oil pressure problem.
