I write: Remember when cable TV was commercial-free? The logic was that since you were paying a monthly subscription fee, the 'broadcasters' didn't need to generate additional revenues by selling airtime to advertisers. No-commercials actually made cable TV kind of tempting.

But now that it's so popular, greedy cable-TV companies have continued to raise prices AND wedged in commercials, leaving subscribers to pay ever higher rates while enduring just as many commercials as broadcast TV!

Advertisers will follow where the audience goes. How long till "commercial-free" satellite radio goes the way of "commercial-free" cable TV?

For now, my onboard entertainment shall remain watching my temperature gauge and listening to the birdies ...
