Subject: UPDATE :Fw: Running VERY HOT 91 Vanagon
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Problem : Van was overheating ( according to the gage ) and the fan would not turn on..

Tested the fan and both speeds worked fine.. Thanks Gary Hradek for the instructions on how to test the fan!

I took the instrument panel off and noticed that the wiring harness that connects to the rear of my clock was only half on.. ( this was from me removing the dash and replacing the wiper motor ) pushed this all the way on and started the van and let it run until it was up to temp.. the gage now stops at the light in the middle and the fan now kicks on..

Such a simple little fix....

Thanks for all the help.. Shannon 91 Vanagon
