Subject: replacement fridge?
Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII

Has anyone found a modern replacement fridge that fits in the cabinet for our current fridge in the westy? The new RV fridges are much more efficent than the one used in our Westy. Most of the ones being installed in Camper Vans these days run on either 12V or 110, no propane. The electricity is used to turn a compressor in these new models instead of to heat the heating element. Because of this difference they run for 4-5 days on a deep cycle coach battery without charging instead of 2-3 hours for the fridges in our westies. Also theres the advantage of safety and not having to have propane running while refueling etc although I have run mine for months at a time and not worried about this.

Thanks, Andrew Fox
