This side of the pond, a few folks were collecting "Used Cooking Oil" from
Fish 'n Chip shops etc filtering it - thereby performing a good and useful
service - then running their Land Rover/VW's etc.   Down comes Mr.
Policeman! Oy! you is doing the Government out of Revenue!   No the man who
bought it in the first place, for his business was responsible for all taxes
etc. We are cleaning up the environment by collecting and cleaning the stuff
and then out of the goodness of our hearts disposing of the resultant
liquid, in a proper manner.

Police + Customs & Excise(collectors of Fuel  Taxes) went to the High Court
"These people are using "used" veg. oilas a propellant in their vehicles!"

Judgement from the courts " Using it as fuel pay tax as fuel!!!!    Now many
catering establishments are either paying to have oil sludge collected &
Burned in large pits (eco eco) or just caring it into the country & dumping
it!!

Clever ol' government!
