I have a fridge that is very small and runs on 110VAC at 1 amp. Max.
 This means
a very small 12v DC, power inverter, of 300 watt, would work fine.  I
have not tried
this yet but have been interest in this since I got the fridge.  You can
fine them
at any good appliance  store.
