The dizzy cap has a detent that fits an indentation in the dsitributor. They should match perfectly. Also, the rotor button should be pushed firmly onto the shaft. Check the clips that hold the cap in place to make sure they hold it snugly. Got any pics of you Weekender? Mine is an '85 Wolfsburg edition Westy. Chris S.
