I've been using the Dex-Cool stuff a number of years without any obvious ill effects. I recommend that all the green or blue stuff is removed for best results. One effect of this stuff is that leaks become obvious. Leaks will leave a large orange trail of crud. It has been noted that any restrictions in the cooling system will cause this effect to clog up radiators and heater cores if they are not perfectly clean. I do not know why but my 1999 motor home with the Ford Triton V-10 has numerous warnings in the owners manual not to use anything that resembles the Dex-Cool.

Hello List, Is Prestone long life anti freeze OK for water boxers? It says on the label that it meets GM Dex cool specs. It also states that is free from phosphates and silicates. Thanks, George '85 Westfalia
