Hello,

This past weekend, I was cruising down the road and my oil light turned on. The heat gauge indicator was well below the half-way point, and the light stayed on for about 10-15 minutes until the motor began to cut-out intermittently. At one point it died and I was able to restart the motor and drive home. The next day the same thing happened, although without any indication from the blinking oil light. This time she just died and I was unable to start it for a few hours, seemingly after she had cooled off.

This just started over the weekend, and I can think of anything that I've done to the van to precipitate this behavior. I do have a rear main seal leak. Can it be that the oil light is coming on because I am losing oil pressure, hence the motor failure?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated,
