I live in Port Townsend and can tell you of a few places... ...we have several parks here that are just great for walking. If you drive along the straits starting just past Port Angeles and head to Neah Bay, there are many campgrounds along the way. Salt Creek has a nature preserve (marine) and is next to the lovely Crescent Beach. I parked my van in a little spot at Neah Bay two weeks ago - with high tide the waves just splashed below the spot. La Push has some nice beach walks and short hikes. Drive up the Hoh and Queets Rivers. Have a drink on the lanai at Lake Crescent Lodge. Let's see, what else... Andree
