Kevin, I'm certainly no expert but in my opinion any information you get from the engine compartment is good information. That said, I don't believe the cylinder temperature is as useful on a wasserboxer as it is on a luftboxer. In theory the collant is keeping the heads at a nice even temp unless something is terribly wrong.
