Subject:      window crank stripped

The driver side window crank screw hole is stripped. There was a hokey allen wrench tapped wooden handle on there when I bought the van. 

With my newfound helicoil skills I thought I would drill it out and fix it right with new threads. Unfortunately my van appears to have a window crank made of depleted uranium. I have tried my regular drill bit and a new vermont american cobalt bit to no avail. I have made little or no progress into this metal.

Any suggestions?
