Subject:      1981 Westy 4 sale
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

I am selling my 1981 Westy to make room for a 87 Syncro project.

Details: 1981 Westy Vanagon GL, Ashuan Brown, 2wd, 2.0l air-cooled stock engine. Newly rebuilt engine by local shop, about 10,000 on it. Passes strict Arizona emissions easily. New clutch, new fuel pump, new ball joints Overall about 270,000 on van. I have a spare engine and transmission and the rest of the 1982 as spare parts van. I gutted the interior 2 yrs ago and soundproofed via the Bulley method. New upholstery in the back and curtains, more cloth on roll to finish it out. Has 1985 upgraded seat with armrest. Appliances work fine, has a upgraded faucet fixture. New pop-top seals and fabric included but not installed. Body is in decent shape, has a few dings and some very light seam rust. Thule racks on it for kayaks.

You can drive it anywhere right now. Long journey is no problem for her.

This van has been a Arizona van for most of its life but was beat up by PO. I have done a ton of work on her to restore her from death by abuse.

If you put about 1000 into the body plus a paint job it would be a beautiful van.

If I cant find a good home for her I'll take her off my insurance and keep her.

Price = $4800.00

Only serious inquiries please, pmail me only.
