Subject: A/C drip pan '85 Westy question

Is the A/C drip pan in an '85 Westy supposed to just sit in the cabinet under the evaporator or is it supposed to be attached to the A/C's plastic housing in some way?

I lowered my cabinet to replace the blower motor and found the drip pan "Duct Taped" to the plastic housing .... well sort of. You know how the stickum turns to goo when duct tape has been in place too long. I saw no means to attach it to the housing.

Thanks,

Mike
