Thanks for the response.  This is my thought exactly and why I was polling the list for comments.  I do not trust the advertisement without proof and testamonials.  I have heard nothing but good thinkgs about the Boston Bob engines from respected sources.

I cant beleive they have the nerve to put estimated horse power on there web site. I have spent alot of time on making vanagon engines with more power and hundreds of dollars on dyno testing and at this point I have never posted any rezults becase the numbers have been to inconsistant to stand behind.

If you want to make an engine make more power make it breath better. I also dont think welding WBX crankshafts to increase stroke is a good idea ever
I invite anybody that is thinking of a upgraded vanagon engine to come and test drive my personal van with the big valve engine and the European Didjet ECU
